The sun rose high in the sky as Yahiko laid on the grass and watched the clouds blow by. This is so boring! He though and quickly jumped up and wiped the dirt from his clothing. He walked to the Dojo and searched around for any sign of Kenshin. Yahiko wanted Kenshin to help him fix his stance for the new technique that Kaoru was teaching him… and maybe learn how to put a bit more strength into his sword trusts.
Suddenly, his stomach grumbled and he clutched onto it. Man! Why is lunch taking so long? He asked himself and ran into the kitchen. Kenshin HAS to be there! Yahiko thought but crashed into a slender body and feel to the ground.
“What are YOU doing in here Ugly!” he cried out as he rubbed his side.

Dazed slightly, Miss Kaoru looked up from where she found herself, on the dojo floor.
"You are you calling Ugly!" She retorted, her face fixed in an angry expression. Without as much as an offer of help, Miss Kaoru got to her feet and dusted off her bright komono.
"And what, may I ask, are you doing in my Dojo?" She inquired, placing her hands upon slender hips.

Yahiko stood up and strolled over to the stove. He lifted up the lid and immediately closed it. “Is this thing edible?” he asked and then thought of another question. “Where is Kenshin, anyways?”

"Your dojo!" She shook her head, Was he always like this?
"Yes, Its edible!" Kaoru snapped, smacking his hand with the wooden sthingy she had acquired from the stove top.
"Now, Kenshin is out, so if you want to wait for him that it fine but don't insult my cooking in the process!" She finished, glaring at the young boy.

Yahiko crinkled his nose, but criticized no more on the food. Instead, he went to the table and sat down. He let his chin drop down onto the table surface.
“Well, I’m bored…” he sighed and looked up toward Kaoru. “Can we practice some more sword techniques or something today?”

"What do I look like, your personal entertainment service!?" Kaoru snapped, turned to face him.
"If you want to do sword techniques, you might as well wait for Kenshin, I haven't the time!" Miss Kaoru shook her head, realizing shortly that something was not right.
The pot behind her began to over flow, causing the water to spill over the edges of the pan.
"Ayeea!" She shrieked, and began stiring the noodles violently. They were cooked, and almost to perfection, if they had not been stuck in a beige mass.
"Not a word from you!" She growled, shaking her head. Without another word, Miss Kaoru began to prepare another pot, and this time, correctly.

Yahiko sat up once again and crossed his arms.
“Well, I have nothing to do today and I’m bored! Tsubame’s busy with Tae today… they’re spending quality time together today… so I don’t want to disturb them.”
The liquid dripped from around the pot and onto the floor. Sighing, Yahiko got up, reached for a towel, and began mopping it up.

Miss Kaoru shook her head and walked away from the bubbling pot to retrive another towel. Her cooking skills didn't seem to be improving.
"Well then...entertain yourself!" She shot back, making a humph sound with her lips as she mopped up the hot water.

Yahiko really couldn’t think of anything else to do… so he just sat there staring at Kaoru, hoping that it would annoy her.

Kaoru shot a glance of annoyance at the young boy. "What exaclty are you here for?" She asked as she finished wiping up the once saturated floor.
Casting the towel aside, Kaoru started to remake her failed concotion. Hoping to finally get it right, her throughts drifted to Kenshin. Where was he? Was he safe?
Sighing, the maiden began to stir the pot, forgetting all about Yahiko.

"I've already told you Ugly..." Yahiko stated. "I'M BORED!"
He sighed and looked out the window and saw a think cloud puff slowly pass by. Things have been quiet lately, and he had been enjoying the relaxation for over a week now... but the lack of adventure was now starting to drive him nuts.
Yahiko signed once again to annoy Kaoru and asked, "Do you need me to do anything since you won't give me my lessons now?"
